The NHS commissioned us to explore the role in marketing in reversing a decline in Breast Screening uptake. Reviewing the published literature and research on the topic, we put forward an evidence-based strategy to do this.
Key components
- Deliver a campaign that focuses on Breast Screening separately to other screening programmes
- Encourage women to prioritise their screening
- Make it the social norm to say ‘yes’ to screening - making it an effortless response that’s almost habitual
- Reframe the emotions involved from anxiety and embarrassment to peace of mind
The comms component of the strategy has now been activated via a TV Ad developed by M&C Saatchi.
